OUTSTANDING

The strap is of admirable quality, especially considering its humble price.

The color can best be described as a muted Army green, akin to that of rucksacks or uniforms seen in the militaries of yesteryear. It pairs fabulously with a black-faced watch, and looks good on a variety of complexions.

The hardware itself is a decent material, the sort of high-polish that should go perfectly with the surface of any polished watch. While the material scratches easily, the quality is what can be expected at the price.

In terms of negatives, the end of the strap (that part which one feeds through the hardware on a regular basis, and which comes into contact with clothing) has become frayed in the month I’ve owned the strap. This fraying, which is admittedly minor, is a flaw common to most NATO straps, and provided the wearer is going for a worn-in appearance (and the choice of a NATO might suggest this is the case), this fraying adds to rather than detracts from the strap’s character. Nevertheless, this wear results in the omission of one star (a half-star if the rating system allowed for it).

In conclusion, and especially considering the price-point, this is a wonderful strap, and a complement to the work of those at Natostrapco. While I have not owned it long enough to report upon its longevity, it is a charming and sturdy addition to the strap collection of any watch enthusiast.

The strap delivered was 22mm instead of 20. As such, not able to fit on my Speedmaster. Great strap at a great price, however. Unfortunately (due to the low cost) not worth the hassle of sending back.

My new strap has breathed new life into my Tag Heuer Formula 1. Planning to buy additional straps in the future. Very easy to take on and off.
