I've resisted the trend for quite some time. I finally gave in and got a couple of nato straps for my watch collection. The straps I bought were really soft and comfortable. The regular nylon straps sometimes cheapen a fine watch. the leather nato did justice for a few of my vintage watches.
It really looks better in person. There is a certain lived in look and feel the strap had right from the first wear. Goes extremely well with my new Alpinist.
